Macher Kalia is a Bengali delicacy fit for special occasions!

Ingredients
Yield: 6 Servings

Ingredients:
500g Rui Mach or Katla Mach (6 pieces)
1 large onion
4 large garlic cloves
1.5 inch ginger
3-4 green chillies
1 Tomato (medium, fresh purée)
2 tbsp. Plain unsweetened yogurt
1 tsp. sugar
4 tbsp. Mustard oil
1/4 tsp. Cumin seeds
1 Bay leaf
2 green cardamoms
2 cloves
1 inch cinnamon stick
1/2 tsp. turmeric powder
1 tsp. cumin powder
1 tsp. Kashmiri red chilli powder
1 tsp. Garam masala powder
Coriander leaves
Salt (to taste)
