I don't remember the occasion, but Majek was asked to play at a benefit dance for UN employees in June, 1992, and he asked me to please document it for him. He's in a room that's not particularly well-lit, but he and his band, the Prisoners of Conscience still pull off a stage-worthy performance.
"Holy Spirit", a favorite song of mine, truly shows Majek's versatility as a singer and musician. He could rock like Jimi, provoke like Fela and inspire, like Bob. Wish he could have remained with us a little longer.
On this particular song, I really have to big up the sax player, Paul Shapiro. With keyboardist Ari Lehman's help, I will soon fill in all the musician's names.
