Here are the 8 steps to a green card through the EB5 investor visa program

Step 1: Choose a specific EB5 regional center or direct investment project

Step 2: Consult a US immigration attorney like me about documenting your lawful source of funds

Step 3: Invest the requisite amount of money

You’ll need to invest either $800k or $1M (more or less) depending on the location of your project

Step 4. File an I526 petition with USCIS to show that your project is legit and will create 10 new jobs

Step 5: File for adjustment of your status if you’re living in the US. If not, file Form DS260.

Step 6. Receive conditional green cards for yourself and eligible family members

Step 7. File a petition to remove those conditions, and

Step 8. Receive your permanent green card(s)
