16" diameter x 1.5" high walnut tray. We make our trays with 1" stock, we've found that machining the tray from 2" thick stock causes severe cupping due to so much material being removed from one side.
Cutting the sides from the oversized panel gives some consistency in the appearance of the sides and results in a more stable product. We have plans for the offcuts ;)
Feeds and Speeds
1/4" spiral downcut - 110 ipm x 18,000 rpm x 0.2" DOC (5MM)
1/2" spiral upcut - 100 ipm x 18,000 rpm x 0.4" DOC (10MM)
1 1/8" bowl bit - 100 ipm x 18,000 rpm x 0.08" DOC (2MM)
