Ep 1 Raipur to Kanker(On way to Bastar), Chhattisgarh | Gadh Kalewa | Famous Moong Vada of Dhamtari

Our main objective was to travel towards Bastar, So we started our journey from Raipur and moved towards Kanker then next day we went to Chitrakote.

Raipur to Bastar district is approximately 300 km journey.

Tour dates- 26th feb to 3rd march 2022

Following are the activities that we did during our journey.

Hotel stay at Raipur - Landmark hotel, over all good and comfortable stay.

Breakfast at Raipur - Gadh Kalewa,This restaurant serves traditional food of Chhattisgarh, Landmark - Near Ghadi chowk.

Farra - Rs 25 & Chila - Rs 25.

We took route via Naya Raipur and did our first halt at Rajim

Gangrel Dam -It is known as Mini Goa locally, One can do various water sports activities.

Cottage accomodation available at cost of 4k to 7k per day.

Angaarmoti Mandir - located near Gangrel dam, many devotees come here from far off place to pay obeisance at this temple.

Moong Dal Vada in Dhamtari - Rs 20 per plate

Makdi Dhaba, Kanker - This is popular dhaba on this route, we had Khichdi & Dahi - Rs 90 + 30 , Kheer is the most famous dish at this dhaba.

We stayed at Hotel Myna which is a Chhattisgarh tourism property in Kanker. Our stay at this government accommodation was just average, may be when we went there it was under staffed.
