Tässä videosarjassa kerron sukututkimuksen tuloksia Suomen kirkonkirjoista vuodesta 1642 alkaen.

Kyse ei ole DNA-analyysista, vaan vanhoista kirkonkirjoista, joita papit kirjoittivat Ruotsin kuninkaan toimeksiannosta, jotta hän ja hallinto tiesivät, kuinka kotitalouksia tulisi verottaa. Kirkonkirjoista selviää myös, kuinka hyvin väestö pärjäsi lukukinkereillä Raamatun tuntemuksessa. Tämä videosarja on esimerkki siitä, mitä voit saada irti omien historiallisten esi-isiesi sukututkimuksesta ja historiantutkimuksesta.

Esivanhempani ovat kotoisin Tampereen seudulta. Kuvailen osittain Suomen historiaa, joka on yhteydessä Ruotsin historiaan, koska Suomi oli aikoinaan osa Ruotsia. Puhun ruotsia.

The Finnish Civil War erupts, thrusting Heikki Kustaa and Alexandra Miina into the horrors of war

Also the narrator tells, the yet not known history of the famous restaurant Kairo in Kotka. It was the narrator’s grandmother Anna Lindkvist (borned as Anna Koskinen) who started the restaurant in the 1930:th. The restaurant is now a cultural centre in Kotka

It’s not about DNA analysis; instead, it relies on information gathered from old church records meticulously kept by priests at the behest of the Swedish king.

The narrator's ancestors hail from the Tammerfors region of Finland, intertwining with Finland’s modern history, which is closely linked to Sweden’s past, given that Finland was once part of Sweden. The narration is presented in Swedish, adding a personal touch to the story.

The narrator tells the painful finish modern history during 2000th century with 3 wars, from an ancestral family point of view. The most devastating was the civil war during 1918 where the narrator tells a new history that happened to his grandmothers brother when he was injured in war. His employer and farmer, who belonged to the opposite side in the civil war, let him die in captivity after civil was finished
