Trip Back in Time - Victoria Road West Cleveleys

Today's video is a trip back in time - Victoria Road West Cleveleys - the main town centre high street. Do you remember the old Savoy Cinema and Cafe? The time when the high street was houses with front gardens? You might not remember the Savoy but you perhaps remember Victoria Market in the same building on Victoria Road West Cleveleys.

The Savoy Cinema and attached cafe were opened in the Palace Theatre buildings in November 1915, with a ballroom and shopping arcade attached. Many years later it was to become Victoria Market. It was a sad day when Victoria Market finally closed its doors at the end of the Christmas trading period in December 2010.

For this trip back in time we'll also take a look at the old promenade too, with Kiddies Corner and The Royal which of course is now The Venue.
