Went through an LP Gas class recently and this is some footage from it!
Food for thought:
Initial boiling point at 14.7 psia, degrees F: -44
Ignition temperature in air, degrees F: 920-1120
Maximum flame temperature in air, degrees F: 3,595
With two attack lines and two safety lines, we approached the fire with fog nozzles to a point where we could touch the prop. Once we were close enough, we would simulate shutting of a gas valve at the bottom of the prop and the fire goes out. This is probably one of the best classes I have ever taken.
