A Snake Needs All This And More

On Gotta Love Carpet Pythons, l go a little deeper into all the things you will need to set up your enclosures for your snakes, from all the different types of thermostats, which are a must, different types of heating devices you can use, which are a must and to lighting, l say go UVB from the very start which will do for lighting as well as be of a huge benefit to your snake at the sametime.
Since l started having snakes in my life, many things have changed, better products for one thing but certainly studies that have been done to tell us more about the importance of certain things your snakes need to thrive in captivity. Isnt that what we all want, to see them thrive.
If you are on a budget, l hope l have that covered for you as well, to going the more expensive end of having snakes. If setting up UVB is abit much on the wallet, then take them outside a couple of days a week instead, if you cannot afford top of the line thermostats, go for the cheaper one but aim to go for the better eventually, as your snakes will the ones to benefit if you do.
l started with infrared bulbs, on off thermostats, now l have Deep heat lamps, UVB and l have even gone bio active with one of my snakes but apart from this, inside of the enclosures l have always had plenty of things for them to hide in, lots of coverage for them, as well as plenty of branches for them to climb. You will be amazed at how many things your snakes might enjoy that you find, that is not a reptile product. My little Childrens python loves an old music box turned upside down, but most of all they all love their hammocks to climb into and have a snooze or just to hang out on. The music box cost me $2 at a secondhand shop and the Hammocks $3 at the hardware store, expensive when it comes to decor does not have to be, use that money you save here on the main needs of your snake, being the heating, thermostats and lighting.
Most of all enjoy everyday with your snake, get to know them, understand them, see their likes and dislikes and cater to that, that you will see later in the steps why this is really important as well.
