(4 Sep 2013) As part of Sony's presentation at this year's IFA electronics show, company president and CEO Kazuo Hirai revealed the extent of their one touch technology which they claim will be available in one hundred products by the end of the year.
"We've also brought Sony's one touch function to an NEX range of cameras for the first time adding to the convenience of wireless internet connection. Sony's one touch function is a distinctive feature in a drive to remove any hassle, any hassle from linking devices and sharing or enjoying content. Simply touch two NFC products together and within moments, they're connected. So you could be at a birthday party or any family gathering and immediately share that group shot with everyone around you with just one touch. But one touch isn't just about sharing images, there's one touch remote, use your smart phone and tablet as a view finder a shutter release. There's one touch listening, easily play your favourite music on your mobile device with the audio function. There's one touch mirroring, enjoy the screen on your mobile device with a larger screen on TV. And, one touch backup, easily back up your photos and videos from your mobile device to the personal content station. All in all, one touch is an efficient and easy to use and of course hassle free function and by the end of the year, approximately one hundred product models, will be one touch enabled," says Hirai
Sony is among the 1400 exhibitors at IFA this year.
Some 240,000 gadget fans are expected at the Berlin show which is runs 6 - 11 September.
