The film-famous frontbender Bonnie Morgan needs little introduction. However, her career in bending on the big screen began earlier than is commonly known. In 1994, a 13 year-old Bonnie starred in "The Magic of the Golden Bear: Goldy 3" as Jessie, a free-willed, nature loving young girl who aspires to join a circus with Goldy, her pet bear. (Yes, Bonnie Morgan has a pet bear in this film. She also co-stars with Mr. T as a Native American and Cheech Marin as an evil magician.)
Bonnie started her circus skills development as a trapeze artist in early childhood, (a skill which is referenced during her training scene in the barn) before formally adopting contortion as her major discipline at the age of 9. To this day (2020) Bonnie is known for her style of contortion which places emphasis on quick transitions and incredibly smooth, clean hip and joint motion, and that is exactly what the young talent delivers here.
The stunt director for Goldy 3 was Gary Morgan, Bonnie's father and a renowned circus performer and stuntman in his own right.
