Mountain Vista State Park Campground Development
COMPLETING A PRESENTATION WITH MEDIA AND SPECIAL EFFECTS
PROJECT STEPS
1. You work for Mountain Vista State Park, an organization that oversees the maintenance of existing campgrounds in the park and the development of new campgrounds and wilderness camping areas. You have been tasked by your manager, Jamal Watson, to create a presentation about three new campground areas. Jamal informs you that this presentation will be delivered to members of the local community who are concerned about park development.

2. Select all the slides in Slide Sorter view and change the design of the presentation to use the theme and colors that Mountain Vista State Park uses for all presentations
a. Change the theme to Berlin.
b. Change the theme colors to Green.
3. In Normal view, insert a footer to identify the state park throughout the presentation:
a. Include the slide number in the footer.
b. Enter Mountain Vista State Park as the footer text.
c. Display the footer on all slides except the title slide.
4. On the Title Slide ("New Campground Development"), enter Mountain Vista State Park within the subtitle placeholder.
5. On Slide 2 ("Purpose of the Development"), insert a picture to add visual interest:
a. Use the content placeholder on the right to insert the picture in the file Support_PPT365_CS1-3A_Campground.jpg.
b. Crop out the tree trunk along the left side of the picture.
6. With Slide 2 still displayed, format the bulleted list to improve its organization and appearance:
7. Remaining on Slide 2, animate the text on the slide to make the content more engaging:
8. On Slide 3 ("Development Steps"), insert SmartArt to make the four steps stand out:
a. Convert the bulleted list to the Basic Process SmartArt in the Convert to SmartArt gallery.
b. Change the SmartArt style to Intense Effect.
9. With Slide 3 still displayed, add the following slide note:
Ask participants for feedback.
10. On Slide 4 ("New Campground Areas"), format the picture in the middle of the slide to match the size of the two other pictures:
a. Resize the picture to a width of 4".
b. Align the bottom of the picture with the bottom of the pictures of Alliston Lake and Pine Ridge.
c. Apply the Beveled Matte, White picture style.
11. With Slide 4 still displayed, modify the animations of the pictures to make them more consistent and smooth:
a. Apply the animation applied to the picture of Alliston Lake to the middle picture.
b. Show the Animation Pane, then change the Start setting for the Bear Claw Wilderness picture to After Previous so that the animations play in the order Alliston Lake, Pine Ridge, and Bear Claw Wilderness.
12. Remaining on Slide 4, insert and format a text box to provide additional information
13. Still on Slide 4, animate the text box as follows to call attention to it:
a. Apply the Bounce entrance animation to the text box. [Mac Hint: Bounce exciting animation.]
b. Change the Start setting to After Previous.
c. Preview the animations on the slide.
14. On Slide 5 ("Standards for Review"), change the layout to Title Only to remove the Title and Content placeholder.
15. With Slide 5 ("Standards for Review") still displayed, modify shapes to correct problems on the slide
16. On Slide 6 ("Campground Selection Criteria"), modify the group of shapes on the left to improve their appearance:
17. With Slide 6 still displayed, modify the Circle shape on the right as follows to provide an illustration of a wilderness campsite:
18. On Slide 7 ("Fundraising Event"), change the slide title to make it more appealing:
a. Apply the Fill: White; Outline: Aqua, Accent color 5; Shadow WordArt style to the slide title text.
b. Enhance the WordArt with the Chevron: Up Transform effect from the Warp section of the Transform gallery.
19. With Slide 7 still displayed, insert a chart to illustrate the park's fundraising goals:
20. Remaining on Slide 7, distribute the three rounded rectangle shapes horizontally on the right side of the slide.
21. Still on Slide 7, complete the table below the shapes as follows:
22. Apply the Wipe transition from the Subtle section of the Transitions gallery to all the slides in the presentation.
23. On Slide 1 ("New Campground Development"), create a more dramatic transition for the title slide as follows:
a. Apply the Cube transition from the Exciting section of the Transitions gallery to the title slide only.
b. Change the Effect Option to From Left.
c. Change the Duration to 1.75 seconds.
24. Check the spelling in the presentation to identify and correct any spelling errors.
