Welcome to Lincoln Road Mall in Miami Beach, one of the most famous pedestrian streets in South Florida. In this video, I take you on a relaxed night walk through this open-air promenade, known for its cafés, palm trees, fountains, and the mix of locals and visitors that give it its unique energy.
Lincoln Road has a long history. It was originally designed in the 1910s by Carl Fisher, one of the founders of Miami Beach, and later redesigned in the 1950s by architect Morris Lapidus, who gave it the stylish, tropical-modern look that still defines it today. Over the years, it became the city’s main “walking street,” where people came to shop, eat, and just enjoy the vibe.
During the night, Lincoln Road feels open and lively. You’ll see outdoor terraces filled with people, street performers, families out for a stroll, and plenty of shops lining the entire stretch from the beach side all the way to Alton Road. Even in the heat, the shade from the trees and the breeze moving through the street make it a comfortable walk.
