how to make ● a wood iPAD holder ● can be held or tripod mounted

I wanted an easy way to mount my ipad or tablet on a tripod so I could take some time-lapse video. I came up with this simple design for a holder using scrap wood. You can insert and remove a tablet or ipad quickly and smoothly with the felt lined mounting slots in the wood. A large ergonomic thumb screw applies a light amount of pressure to keep it firmly in place.The 1/4" x 20 threaded mount makes it easy to put the holder on a tripod or it can be easily and comfortably be held with one hand. This ipad holder looks trendy and rustic with a stained wood finish. An afternoon do it yourself project. Can be made for all models of ipad. I am very comfortable with power tools and have used them for many years. If you are not comfortable with using power tools, wait until you are. Be careful when using a router without a router table. I did this at my own risk and have become good at it. I strongly suggest using a router table.
