In this video, we put them to the test and compare the full Blazar MANTIS 5-lens anamorphic set: 25mm, 35mm, 50mm, 75mm, and 100mm — all with a "2X look" and a 1.33X squeeze factor. The Mantis features our newest technology, the 14-bladed oval-shaped aperture mechanism. This greatly increases the stretched oval look of out-of-focus areas, delivering a heightened anamorphic feel.
Optimized for 16:9 and 17:9 sensors, the MANTIS series delivers the cinematic 2.39:1 aspect ratio without cropping. See how each focal length performs and what type of unique anamorphic character they provide.
