Prokofiev's ballet music was what first sparked my interest in his music Cinderella, while perhaps not on par with his Romeo and Juliet, is still great music. Particularly the Cinderella waltz at 15:53
The Everest album is one of the few, that I have with a silver back (in both stereo and mono). The silver indicates it was made in the two to three years when the Belock Recording company (and founders Harry Belock and Bert Whyte) who owned the label, remained in complete control of recording and production. These records are generally the best sounding records that Everest produced. (Belock was also an inventor and his other corporations produced equipment used many for missiles and rockets.) When the original owners were bought out in the early 60s, the specialized recording equipment they had developed was bought by Robert Fine, the famed Mercury recording expert for use on that label.
(Note: I have previously posted the other side, Villa Lobos-Uirapurú, on my channel.)
