Exciting update: The ORCASat team assembled another engineering model spacecraft, but this time with the flight Attitude Determination and Control System (ADCS) and Electrical Power System (EPS) integrated inside it. The EPS (designed, assembled, and tested in-house at the University of Victoria) successfully powered on the ADCS (provided by CubeSpace) and the team was able to complete the full health check of the ADCS. This confirms all sensors that are integrated into the external solar panels are functional and the ADCS can communicate with them. The team also discovered that the ADCS fits inside the spacecraft with no issues, which is a huge relief. The next step is building up a fully functional spacecraft with all the flight hardware inside it!
