TVS has launched the BS6 Apache RTR 160 4V in India. The new motorcycle's pricing is Rs 1,03,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the rear disc version

and Rs 99,950 for the rear drum brake-equipped variant. In comparison, the BS4 FI-rear disc model costs Rs 1,00,556 while the drum brake equipped version is priced at Rs 92,306. Both variants get a fuel-injected BS6 motor. The new motorcycle gets a new all-LED headlamp.
The BS6-compliant fuel-injected 159.7cc single-cylinder 4-valve air and oil-cooled engine puts out 16.02PS at 8250rpm and 14.12Nm at 7250rpm. It makes 0.77PS less power and 0.68Nm less torque than the BS4 model.

Suspension setup remains the same. It retains the same telescopic fork and monoshock setup as the older generation model. Braking is via a 270mm front and 200mm rear petal disc with a single-channel ABS.

The BS6 Apache RTR 160 4V rivals the BS6 Yamaha FZ-S FI, Suzuki Gixxer, Honda CB Hornet 160R and Bajaj Pulsar NS160.
