The best Outdoor Wood & Wood Finish. Jersey Shore Tested / Three Year Update

Hi everyone, this is my advice for outdoor wood projects.
1: Choose the Right Wood
I recommend using natural mahogany or Sapele for outdoor Projects.
2: Avoid Sharp Edges
A finish won’t build up properly on sharp edges, and that’s exactly where it’ll fail. So always ease those edges.
3: Pick the Right Finish
For durability against sun, wind, and rain, I like TotalBoat Gleam Spar Varnish Gloss.

Also, Maintenance is Key
No outdoor finish is maintenance-free – not even paint. If you’re not willing to maintain it, you might not want to build it.
