A modern retelling of the Nutcracker Ballet as a musical from the prince's point of view. Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Ballet has enchanted audiences in the United States since Willam Christensen brought it to the San Francisco Ballet on December 24, 1944. The ballet tells the story of a young girl who receives an enchanted Nutcracker for Christmas. After a battle with the rat king and his minions, the Nutcracker transforms into a handsome prince and whisks the girl off to the Sugar Plum Fairy's kingdom. For eighty years the question of who the prince is and how he became enchanted has remained unanswered. No longer. The Nutcracker Prince Musical gives the prince a voice, a backstory, and brings him to life like never before.
