Powered subs are the easiest way to get some bass into your car audio system. The amp is built in, so you've got one box to find a place in your car for, and you don't have to replace your factory radio to add one.
This video buying guide shows you what to look for when you shop for a powered sub, so you can find one that's perfect for your vehicle and budget.

The first thing you should consider is how much space you have for a powered sub. If space is tight, there are slim subs that can slip under some seats and otherwise take up little room, but still add satisfying bass, if not the deepest or loudest out there. We've even got one that fits inside your spare tire!

If you have a bigger vehicle and want the biggest bass possible, you can look at a full-sized sub that puts out the kind of bass you feel in your chest. Find the best mounting spot, and make sure that you measure the distance from your battery to your preferred spot, so you know if you need more power wire.
The larger powered subs can be either ported or sealed, so you'll have to decide which you want. The basics are that sealed subs offer more accuracy and precision, but don't dig quite as deep as ported subs. Ported sub boxes tend to be larger than sealed ones, so that might be another consideration for you.
Woofer size, amplifier power, and wiring considerations are all important, too. Chatting online or talking on the phone with one of our Advisors can help clear up any questions you might have along the way. They can look up details about your car or truck and let you know what to expect when you install your powered sub.
Good luck, and congratulations! Adding bass changes your life in the car for the better, and we're happy you're thinking of doing it.
