How Itaewon Became a ‘Place To Avoid’ (60/467: Itaewon-dong, Yongsan District)

Itaewon, Itaewon, Itaewon...who hasn't heard of Itaewon yet? Well, that is if you have been to Korea before. Last year, tragically, it was in the news because of the Itaewon Crush. It has scarred Itaewon forever. Then I started thinking of Itaewon again. To me, Itaewon was always a place for foreigners, clubbing and kebab. I thought I somehow understood what Itaewon was, how the Yongsan Military Base influenced it over the last decades, and why Halloween was best celebrated over there until I began filming for this video. Down the rabbit hole I went, and there seemed to be no end. Usually, one guide will do, but I had to invite several to cover most of Itaewon. It still isn't enough, but enough for this video, though. Prepare yourself for an Itaewon blows-your-mind video. Enjoy!
