I received a question from John about how to pass member data - from a logged-in member - into a view file, when using Trongate.
There is no hard and fast way of doing this. I want developers who use Trongate to feel as if they're using pure PHP. So, John's code is good and I'd encourage you to do whatever feels best for your situation.
Nevertheless, in this video I wanted to give you a few thoughts and ideas about how to safely pass data - such as member data - into view files when using Trongate.
