Mel Gibson’s PASSION OF THE CHRIST w/ Jim Caviezel

The Passion of the Christ is a 2004 biblical film produced, directed and co-written by Mel Gibson and starring Jim Caviezel as Jesus, Maia Morgenstern as Mary, mother of Jesus, and Monica Bellucci as Mary Magdalene. The movie depicts the Passion of Jesus largely according to the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. The movie includes the brutal Scourging at the Pillar, the crucifixion and death of Jesus, and ends with a brief depiction of his resurrection. The Passion of the Christ: Resurrection is set to start filming in August 2025, which is the sequel to the first movie.
