Spirits Bay, officially named Piwhane, is a remote and serene bay located at the northern end of New Zealand's North Island, within the Aupōuri Peninsula. Situated between Cape Reinga / Te Rerenga Wairua to the west and Ngataea / Hooper Point to the east, it is one of the two bays marking the tip of the North Island, the other being Takapaukura / Tom Bowling Bay.
