Do you have a love/hate relationships serving adolescents in your practice? Adolescence is an amazing time of development and change, yet adolescent patients don't always fit into the mold of a standard clinic visit. This session will explore some strategies to having a youth friendly practice that works for you and for young people. We will discuss how to engage teens; what to do about privacy and confidentiality; when to worry when a teen confides in you about substance abuse, mental health and sexual health; how to reduce barriers for teens; and what to do about parents. You will leave with a list of helpful resources and referrals
