HyperTough 12v Cordless Rotary Tool Review

I got this cordless HyperTough rotary tool as a replacement for the corded one I’ve been using. I’ve been through a few rotary tools in the past 30 years. The rotary tool is one of the most useful tools I own.
Right out of the box, I really like the feel and weight of this tool and especially like the grippy rubber layer that covers most of it. Everything about this tool feels solid. First thing I did was make sure it was fully charged. I removed the battery and plugged in the included battery charger. The battery removes easily with a squeeze of the release latches and a pull. There isn’t a power indicator on the battery itself, but there is one on the rotary tool. When charging, there is a red light on the included battery charger that remains red until the battery is fully charged then turns green, Any doubts I had about this cordless tool’s power and performance capabilities were swiftly removed when I used it to trim a 1/4 inch bolt. Using the metal cutter attachment, this tool cut through the steel bolt as good as, if not better than, any other corded rotary tool I’ve used. You aren’t sacrificing any power with this cordless rotary tool. And on top of that, the quality is on point. For such an affordable tool you are really getting something that feels well-made and solid. The variable speed dial feels firm and makes distinct clicks in between each speed change and is in a very convenient position. It comes with a nice assortment of the basic attachments that you might need including six cutting wheels which is a good start considering those tend to break easily, so those are usually the attachment tips I purchase extras of. Honestly I had my doubts about the power and performance of a battery powered rotary tool but I am now convinced this one is replacing my corded rotary. I’m very happy with this rotary tool by HyperTough. A solid recommendation.
