Welcome to the dark side of professional sports. A place where seedy political negotiations result in team owners securing beautiful shrines for their franchises. All the while, the cities in question spend potentially over a billion dollars in public funds to build it (with minimal financial benefit to the city itself). It's been a trademark of the North American sports scene for decades, and with the demand for professional teams becoming insatiable, they have all the power in these situations. Horror stories are abound of cities being bled dry by stadium payments (not to mention ending up having to pay significantly more than what they expected), forcing budget cuts and shortfalls that rob the city of its power.

This is a video I've wanted to do since I started back in 2017, and I hope I gave the topic enough justice in the process.
