This Will CHANGE Your Mind About Visiting Kazakhstan! We've rented a car to start our road trip beyond Almaty to discover some of Kazakhstan’s most breathtaking natural wonders. Our first stop is Charyn Canyon, Kazakhstan’s very own "mini Grand Canyon," where the dramatic rock formations and endless views absolutely blew us away. From there, we drive to the cozy village of Saty to stay with a local family and soak in some genuine Kazakh hospitality. The real adventure kicks off the next day at Kolsai Lakes National Park—a must-visit spot for nature lovers. But the wildest part? We ended up going horseback riding without a guide! It was thrilling, nerve-wracking, and an unforgettable way to explore this incredible landscape.
