This particular smoker lasted about 5hrs on the same load of fuel.
When not in use, lay the smoker on its side to slow down the combustion and extend its life, then prop up and pump to reactivate as needed.
The fuel needs to be very dry and the little plate at the bottom of the smoker needs to be on its legs to allow for airflow under the fuel.
The key is starting with a good fire and a bed of burning kindling.
