SPOILER ALERT: The Japanese sweet potato (satsumaimo) took first place with its amazing chestnut-like flavor and fluffy texture! The Korean sweet potato (goguma) came in as a close second - when cooked properly, they develop an incredible caramelized sweetness that's almost like dessert.

If you've only ever had the common orange sweet potatoes from the grocery store, this video will open your eyes to a whole new world of flavors and textures! Each variety has its own unique characteristics that make them perfect for different recipes.
