Investigation of Stalingrad mass graves - A whisper from the grave

During the excavation of mass graves at the former prisonner of war camp at Vertyachii, near Stalingrad, the bodies of several dozen dead Soviet soldiers were recovered. None of them had his issue "medallion" (identification tag), but one soldier I.P. Frolov, was found with an improvised hand made identification tag made from a piece of scrap aluminum.
