Have you been to a Filipino market before? How about a Maranao one near Marawi City?
This was such a beautiful market experience in the Philippines! I finished my "Hapee" activity in Cagayan de Oro, and decided to head off alone on my scooter for a mini adventure. Making my way to Iligan City, I ended up having breakfast at an awesome place called Papa Mai's, where I spontaneously decided to take the back loop up towards Marawi City and Balo-I.
Wow!! The Maranao market in Balo-I Lanao Del Norte is AWESOME! I was overloaded with good vibes by the locals, and truly shocked at how cool the place was! It is so beautiful seeing this market by the river being overlooked by a big Mosque. There are a lot of unique Maranao treats, clothes, and vibes to be found!!
