PLOT (So Far)
Cross has called the player yet again. This time, however, he giddily states that he’ll enjoy capturing them again and again; that can’t be a good sign. Once the player gets to #4 on the Blacklist, Razor will chime in with a reason to the Sergeant’s unexpected happiness: the police have been starting to gain traction in their street racing crackdown program. Unsurprisingly, he blames the player for increasing the police’s presence throughout the city by claiming that they are an informant for the police.
Later on, Mia calls the player and tries to comfort them after being villainized by Razor. As Mia puts it, the player only has to focus on driving off the remaining members of the Blacklist, while she’ll handle the rest of their problems. She has a point; now that the player is now starting to challenge Razor’s posse, it’s only a matter of time until the man himself is in their crosshairs. It’ll only do them harm if they start focusing more on Razor’s threats than on driving.
