Almonds start in orchards, but turning raw harvested almonds into clean, premium nuts is a detailed industrial process. In this video, we take you inside an almond processing plant and show the full step-by-step journey.
You’ll see how almonds are harvested from orchards using tree shakers and sweepers, then collected and transported to the factory. Inside the plant, raw almonds go through pre-cleaning to remove dust, stones, and debris. Next comes washing and drying, followed by hulling and shelling to separate the kernel from the shell. The kernels are then air-cleaned, optically sorted, and graded by size and color. After blanching and/or roasting, quality control teams check moisture, flavor, and consistency. Finally, the premium almonds are weighed, packed into pouches, sealed for freshness, boxed, palletized, stored, and shipped out for distribution.
