Tom Gurin is an award-winning composer. He is a current Fulbright-Harriet Hale Woolley Scholar in the composition studio at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris while in residence at the Fondation des Etats-Unis. He studied Music Theory & Composition at Yale University before earning an Artist Diploma at the Royal Carillon School of Belgium.
Gurin has contributed to numerous international festivals, including highSCORE New Music Festival in Pavia, Italy, and the Imani Winds Chamber Music Festival in New York City, where he was an Emerging Composer Fellow. The Yale Symphony Orchestra, the National Youth Orchestra of China, the Yale Dramatic Association, and other ensembles have performed his compositions.
