Lilla gave birth to twins!!! (Nigerian Dwarf Goat Birth)

Just as I was trying to sneak in a bit of precious sleep, the baby monitor crackled with the unmistakable sound of labor! In a blur, I jolted awake, threw on my coveralls, and rushed out the door—zombie-like but determined. When I arrived, it was all happening: she had already started pushing. While scrambling to gather supplies and set up the camera, I missed the moment the first baby was born. But that hardly mattered—the little one was healthy, and that’s the most important thing.

Just four minutes later, baby number two made its entrance into the world, equally strong and healthy. Mom instinctively cleaned up her new arrivals, and together we made sure they were warm, dry, and comfortable. Once mom stood up, we watched over the babies as they latched on for their first meal. Finally, exhausted but relieved, I headed back to bed—for a grand total of four hours of rest.

Kidding season really is its own brand of chaos! Thankfully, there's just one doe left to kid. She’s due any day now, though I suspect she's taking her sweet time to make sure her little ones are perfectly ready.
