With a jig, plunge router, bushing, router bit and a plunge depth set up jig, you can slot your guitar necks quickly. You will need to make the jigs first and have a bushing for your router, but after that it will be "Easy and Simple"
You could do this with a fixed base router, but a plunge router will make it much easier.
I just got my plunge router that also came with a fixed base, and it seems to be a solid piece of equipment.
