In this video, I visit a beautiful village called Itabe in Anini, Arunachal Pradesh. There, I meet the village leader, known as the “Gambura” in their local language. I was invited to his home, where he showed me his old hunting weapons, a bear-skin bag, an animal-skin carpet, and many other traditional items that reflect his tribal lifestyle.
Despite living a simple tribal life, the Gambura welcomed us with so much warmth and joy. He talked happily about his hunting days and the stories behind those ancient tools. We spent almost two hours with him, but he never showed a single sign of irritation—only kindness and pride in sharing his culture. It was a truly memorable experience that gave me a deeper respect for the traditions and hospitality of Arunachal’s tribal communities.
