By the time I got to see Cedar Point's brand new strata-coaster Top Thrill Dragster in person early in 2003, it's large rear tires were gone, but the fake engine and rear wing were still intact. And as luck would have it, the new ride was having mechanical issues during that first visit, so I have limited footage. My second visit in 2003 allowed me to finally see this behemoth in action, but the fake engine and rear wing had been removed. At least it was running! Filmed in "early 2003" and "late 2003" (that's what my notes say, no specific dates are indicated, though I'm guessing the first visit was mid to late May.)
