Here's my 2008 Epiphone SG bought for the sole purpose of modding it up to Gibson (or better) specification. I'm going 'all black' on this and will eventually stain the fingerboard 'as dark as I can get it!'
I'm planning Gotoh tuners, Wilkinson roller bridge / tailpiece, custom (hand wound) Zebra pick-ups, black jack / 3-way / knobs / nut and I think we will treat it to stainless steel frets (just because I have some spare). I'll also be speccing-up the wiring (push-back / cloth / braided), pots (Bourns 500k Audio) and capacitors (Mullard Mustard .022uF).
In part 1, we swap out the chrome tuners for Gotoh black, we remove and replace the chrome bridge / tail-piece + posts again, with black...
