Wow, Wow, Wow – J-Bay Delivers Again!
Behind the Lens of the 2025 Corona Open J-Bay

The energy at this year’s Corona Open J-Bay was absolutely electric. From sunrise paddle-outs to moonlit edits, this event was off the charts. J-Bay never disappoints — world-class waves, insane performances, and a vibe that can only be described as pure magic.

I've never pulled as many all-day shoots and late-night edits in my life. But with warm-up sessions that were just as fire as the main event, how could I not? This place has always been special, but if J-Bay wasn’t already one of the most anticipated stops on the WSL World Tour, it sure as hell is now.

Right now, I’m running on empty — physically shattered but mentally buzzing. This is exactly why I started filming: for the stoke, the connection, the thrill of chasing perfect moments through a lens. And this past week has blown all my expectations out of the water.

The contest setup was next level — epic facilities, gourmet food trucks, beachside beats, and some surprisingly perfect winter weather. South Africa truly turned it on.

This was my first Corona Open J-Bay shooting for my YouTube channel, and what a debut. I captured some insane action, both in the comp and during the down days. One highlight? Filming Connor O'Leary sneaking into a quiet session during a lay day — he was absolutely dialed in. I even called it in a previous video: "No way he finishes below the semis." Guess what? He smashed it. Connor, I’m officially claiming the title of your good luck charm.

Big congrats as well to Gabriela Bryan — incredible surfing from both winners, and a deserving finale to an unforgettable week.
