The Thread - an international server for fiber nerds! Look, I personally know what it's like to not have a knitting family. Even when I hung out with other knitters, I still felt like an outsider. I cracked jokes no one understood or liked, I'd bring up subjects no one cared about, and I always felt a little too loud to be at the table. That's why I started The Thread on Discord - for like minded, caring, supportive, and nerdy makers to get together and have a safe space where we can be exactly who we are without judgment. We have weekly virtual knit nights and events every month, ranging from Sit&Knits to D&D One Shot Campaigns and a virtual book club. Joining The Thread will not be like those horrifying moments at the beginning of the school year when you realize none of your friends are in your lunch period. We're all friends, and we want you at our table.
