The Cummins-powered Power Wagon is finally here — but is it actually a real Power Wagon, or just a regular Ram 2500 with a badge?

As someone who owns a Power Wagon, I take a deep dive into the upcoming 2027 Ram 2500 Cummins Diesel Power Wagon and break down what’s changed — and more importantly, what’s missing. To make room for the diesel engine, Ram had to leave out some of the very features that made the Power Wagon special in the first place, including the factory winch and the unique off-road suspension setup that separated it from a standard Ram HD.

In this video, I compare the diesel Power Wagon to the traditional gas version, talk through axle ratios, crawl ratios, off-road capability, and discuss whether the diesel’s torque really makes up for the compromises. I also touch on pricing, and whether the added cost makes sense when you consider what you’re actually getting.

This isn’t a hate video — it’s an honest breakdown from an owner who understands what a Power Wagon is supposed to be. By the end, you’ll be able to decide for yourself: Is this a true Power Wagon, or just a Cummins Ram with stickers?
