Baba Yaga by Mike – A Challenging and Beautiful Climbing Route in Krabi

This route was established by me, along with my mentors and friends—outstanding climbers and enthusiasts, Mike and Leif. These guys are among the pioneers of climbing in continental Krabi.

Baba Yaga is a stunning and psychologically and physically demanding route with fascinating movements. The first section is technical, followed by a more challenging segment with a crux. After that, maintaining strength and steady breathing is crucial, as the route is highly endurance-intensive. The final part is technically much easier than the middle section, but it still pushes you to your physical and mental limits.

I extend my deepest respect to the entire climbing community and warmly invite you to Krabi. We will keep climbing, bolting new routes, and helping the sport grow.

What Does Climbing Mean to Me?

Climbing has transformed my life not once, but twice: first when I discovered it, and again when I returned to it after a long recovery.

Rock climbing and bouldering offer more than just physical activity—they bring you closer to nature, allowing you to experience its beauty up close.

For me, climbing is much more: it’s socialization, building friendships, embracing challenges, therapy, and a path to a healthy lifestyle. I invite you to join the climbing community and discover this incredible journey for yourself.

In my own experience, I’ve explored various techniques to improve my physical fitness and eventually found a method that worked for me. Within the first year and a half, I lost 36 kilograms. Over time, I increased my activity level, regained a healthy lifestyle, and successfully addressed challenges like spinal issues, excess weight, and even depression.
