On "My Car Story" we're in the West Suburbs of Chicago IL on 5-18-23.
We're looking at a 1942 Chrysler Saratoga Highlander Business Coupe in Black Paint. The car comes with the factory straight 8 engine and has a semi automatic “fluid drive” transmission (you’ll hear more about the transmission when we ride in the car).
The car's Owner is Dennis Doerge. Dennis has had this car since 2022. He shared that he and his wife went to look at a person’s Buicks for sale, and his wife saw car in the collection and said to buy it! Well combine your wife telling you to buy a car, and the rarity of any “1942 Car” since there was a war going on and cars were not being produced, and this makes this SUPER RARE to see.
