Tuberculous is a major infectious disease named Mycobacterium tuberculous, that mostly affects the lungs. The bacteria that cause tuberculosis spreads from person to person via tiny droplets released into the air through coughs and sneezes. Symptoms of active TB that involves coughing for three or more weeks are:
Fever
Night sweats
Chills
Loss of appetite
Chest pain

Patients with active symptoms will need a long course of treatment with multiple antibiotics.
