I always wondered why Tesla's needs to weigh 2.5 tons, OK so they use over 7000 (18650 cells) little batteries but it's the creature comforts that make the cars so heavy and therefore use far more energy than we need to get around. I made a 400 kg car, no roof though, or heater or doors, or windows, BUT it is light!
