The Platinum Rival Battle You Couldn't Unlock (Until Now)

The mystery of the Pokemon Platinum Level 75 Barry fight has haunted me for over a year, so I finally decided to investigate!

It's been known for years that there exists an additional rival battle in the game, featuring Pokemon up to Level 75, separate from the Barry battle that unlocks at 20 Hall of Fame entries. The longstanding myth is that it unlocks at 10 Hall of Fame entries, but it turns out the fight is not unlockable through any intended means! Thanks to recent advances in ACE or Arbitrary Code Execution, we can finally experience it on a real cartridge.
