However, as the light disappears and the crushing weight of miles of water bears down, the logs chronicle his gradual psychological unraveling.
He reports increasingly bizarre bioluminescent creatures and eventually believes he hears a 'song'—a Leviathan's Hymn—emanating from the abyss .
The lines blur between objective observation and potential hallucination, culminating in the apparent catastrophic failure of the mission and the abrupt, chilling end of the transmission .
